Using Dreams in Therapy

Using Dreams in Therapy
At times, our inner worlds can be mysterious and distant. Dream analysis is one way to understand both the stresses as well as the power that resides in each of us. Dreams and their images become a door to understanding both the psychological pressures as well as the inner resources and strengths upon which we rely.
Dreams may reflect and influence daily behavior and decision-making. Sometimes, dreams illuminate dysfunctional aspects of our lives. At other times, dreams may reveal empowering personal strengths previously unknown to us, generating resources for moving forward into a fuller and richer life. “Decoding” the dream may help to provide understanding of life conflicts. Understanding dreams is one way to access the strengths and vulnerabilities within each of us.
Using the metaphors and symbols contained in your dreams, we can talk together to untangle and perhaps de-mystify your dream images, and to understand your dreams.
